Speech by the Area Representative to the Sub-County Council On The Occasion Of Commissioning Of the Namayiba Borehole

In the speech delivered in the local language -Luganda- the Area Councillor said that he had come to witness the official commissioning of the borehole offered by their friends-Lions clubs in Norway. He expressed his personal and the resident’s deep appreciation to the Lions for the invaluable service.

He pointed out that the parish has 9 villages and 15 sub-villages. It was therefore quite big yet there are no safe water sources. The Councillor informed the gathering that the predominant sources of water in the area are unprotected wells which get contaminated especially during the rainy season. He appealed for more support if possible.

He advised the community to take good care of the borehole.
